What do previous participants say?
The Graduate Academy gives you greater focus, helps you to realise what you need to do to find a job and most of all gives you the support you need when you need to move into the real world.
I found the Graduate Academy to be an extremely valuable experience. My knowledge, skills and overall confidence have grown significantly.
The course really pushed my boundaries and I have learnt so much about myself, personally and professionally. It has increased my confidence, self-awareness and knowledge of the whole world of work.
The Graduate Academy helped my identify my key skills and realise what kind of jobs were right for me, making my job search much more in-depth. The ILM units also aided my search for jobs as they enabled me to develop a more professional manner and outlook.
I feel I now have the upper hand above other graduates as we were taught in relation to work-based examples and I have shown I am willing to take my degree to the next level.
The Graduate Academy had a great impact on my awareness of the issues involved in management and being successful in the workplace. My increased confidence, focus and networking skills have helped me gain and retain my current job.
The Graduate Academy has been most useful in terms of developing my CV. Employers seem more interested in me, especially the fact I have shown I am keen to develop and learn, and they have wanted to know all about the work experience and ILM assessment.
The main benefit of the Graduate Academy from my perspective was that it provided me with new direction at a time when it appeared that I had exhausted all possible options, and a new starting point upon which I have since been able to build.
The Graduate Academy has been a great experience. It has certainly met its purpose by giving us that helping hand in making the transition from University into the working environment.
