The Arts and Humanities Research Council
The UK Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) offers funding to both MA and PhD students.

The Council operates an annual competition for funding for full-time or part-time research preparation Masters degree. Eligibility for fees and maintenance awards usually requires UK residency, but for fees only, EU residency is a usual criterion. Applications for AHRC funding must be supported by the university the applicant intends to attend, so applicants should apply for a place on the MA well in advance of the AHRC funding competition deadline in late April to early May.
