Job Title

Geraint is a Welsh medium teaching fellow in Outdoor Education

Role in the University

Geraint is a Welsh medium teaching fellow in Outdoor Education - a role funded by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol in order to increase welsh-medium higher education opportunities. The University of Wales Trinity Saint David is the only university to have been awarded a fellowship in Outdoor Education, and therefore leads the way in welsh-medium provision in this subject area.

Background

Geraint has a background in sport, fitness and outdoor education, having worked previously as a fitness instructor, personal trainer and sports centre manager, prior to becoming a lecturer in outdoor education. Geraint holds national governing body awards in canoeing, kayaking, hill walking, rock climbing and mountain biking, and delivers the Mountain Bike Leaders Awards in the South Wales region.
