Background

Appointed in 1992, Ceredig Emanuel has been Head of School at Trinity University College since 1999 and has taught in higher education for twenty years, and primarily in Physical Education. Prior to Trinity Ceredig lectured at North London University, Enfield College of Further Education, and taught in Folkestone, Kent for six years. He was awarded a Health Education Council fellowship to pursue a Master’s course in Health Education at Southampton University in 1987.

Academic Interests

Research interests include the health promotion role of physical education and barriers to children’s physical activity levels. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and acts as a Consultant for the Welsh Assembly Government’s ‘Physical Education and School Sport’ initiative in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

Additional Information

Ceredig is a keen squash rackets player and survived the University’s first expedition to Everest Base Camp recently.
