Outline: Kaylmnos Sports Rock Climbing Programme 2012
This is our second visit in two consecutive years, speak to the previous students who have been here for top tips.
Date: Friday 31st March to Saturday 7th April 2012 TBC
Venue:
Kaylmnos Greece. The trip is aimed at those who wish to be introduced into the vertical world of the sports climber and share a cultural experience at a world famous European sports climbing venue. Fun in the sun.

Cost:
£470.00 (£150 non refundable deposit secures a place by 4th November) the balance paid by February 1st 2012 (non refundable). Two additional installments are due on 1st December 2011 and 1st February 2012. Groups size limited to 18 on a first come first served basis.
Booking:
Complete the form and return to Julia Rebhan j.rebhan@tsd.ac.uk along with your deposit cheque or receipt from finance and a photocopy of your passport. Closing date is 4th November 2011.

Travel from Trinity to Gatwich Airport – Departs from LONDON GATWICK TO KOS on the 31 March at 1510 arrive 2110:

Sun 2nd: Introduction to bolts and sport climbing
Mon 3rd: Paired or climbing groups move to sites. Bill will provide multi pitch sport routes coaching and Graham will provided personal-paired coaching on single pitch crags. Students are at liberty to climb where and at what grade they feel comfortable
Tue 3rd – Fri 6th: As above
Sat 7th: Depart Kaylmnos, ferry to Kos - Departs from KOS TO LONDON GATWICK on the 7th April at 2150 arrive 2355, travel to Trinity
Inclusions: Transport to & from Kaylmnos, all accommodation, Instruction & Insurance
Exclusions: Food, Personal Equipment, Specialist Equipment (can be drawn from the stores (if available see year 2 expeditions) & spending money
Conditions: In order to qualify for the expedition you must have completed all climbing sessions on SHOE4004 or be approved by SHOEOE staff.
The Expedition Staff
Both Bill and Graham have led many overseas expeditions as a team and as individuals, both are experienced and qualified professionals and have a wealth of personal experience in the expedition environment.
Bill is the Expedition leader and will be fully responsible for the overall expedition success. Graham will provide crucial support and take the role of overall leadership if required he will also take the lead in many activities. All staff will hold a current first aid certificate and have experience of dealing with climbing related injuries and other outdoor activity related illnesses and first aid.
During the expedition Bill and Graham will be on hand 24/7 in-country to guide, instruct, facilitate and will work together to ensure the smooth running of your expedition. We will start to build this relationship during your pre-expedition meeting.
Roles within the expedition
Prior to departure we will agree the respective roles of the every member of the expedition. Bill and Graham will discuss all decisions affecting the running of the expedition programme and care of the group on a regular basis.
