Trips and Visits

Students on the BA EYE have attended a wide variety of placements. These are a valuable part of the course and provide students with experience of different types of work with children and families. Students get a glimpse of the kinds of employment and career opportunities that are available to them. Some of this years students have been placed in:

  • Family centres
  • A children’s ward of a big general hospital, shadowing the Play Specialist
  • An Activity Play Centre
  • A Pilot settings for the Foundation Phase
  • A Steiner school
  • A Montessori school
  • project work, shadowing a Welsh language development worker for Twf
  • Homestart family support project
  • Surestart projects
  • An Integrated Children’s Centre
  • A Children’s Toy Library
