Sandra also acts as academic liaison for Trinity Saint David for two projects.

Sandra also participates in the Business School teams to develop relationships and opportunities for research and projects and with businesses and communities.

Background

Sandra commenced her duties at the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David in September 2010. Prior to her current position Sandra was a Senior Lecturer in Information and Applied Business Systems and more recently a doctoral researcher at the University of Birmingham.   She has twenty years of industrial experience in the financial and manufacturing sectors prior to becoming an academic.  Sandra is professionally accredited as a teacher in Higher Education by the Staff and Educational development Association (SEDA) and the Higher Education Academy.  Sandra publishes in peer reviewed publications and is a referee and committee member for two conferences.

Software Alliance Wales (SAW)

Software Alliance Wales (SAW) is a European funded project led by ITWales at Swansea University in partnership with the Universities of Bangor, Glamorgan, Aberystwyth and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, with a remit to provide specific support to the software sector, address skills requirements, to respond to demands to help Welsh businesses to maximise the potential of exploiting technologies and support opportunities for university computing students to work with SMEs.

Creativity and Innovation in Micro-enterprises (CIME)

CIME is a European INTERREG funded project with four partners: Swansea Metropolitan University; University of Wales Trinity Saint David; South East Regional Authority (SERA), Ireland and Kilkenny Enterprise Board, Ireland.  The aim of the project is to support businesses using creativity techniques which stimulate innovative practice and raise the competitiveness of participating micro-enterprises or SMEs

Sandra is currently developing research with the Centre for Applied Systems Research (CASR)

The Centre (CASR) conducts research into the analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of intra- and inter-organisational systems from both organisational and technical perspectives.

In addition, her major research interests are in:

Knowledge Management and the processes and dynamics of temporary coalitions, collective knowledge and the implications for firm renewal, growth and innovation, which is her doctorate study.
