Background
Roisin was schooled at St. Michael's Loretto Convent, Navan in Co. Meath, Ireland, becoming an Aer Lingus Young Scientist Prize winner in 1986.
Following undergraduate studies in Pharmacology, Roisin pursued postgraduate studies in Computer Modelling and Protein Engineering and has a Master's in Human Computer Interactions and Interface Design.
Roisin has 15 years experience in university teaching and moved to Lampeter in 2002, as a lecturer in Information Systems.
Academic Interests
Her research interests are in Systems Development Methodology and Interface Design, and she has a particular interest in applying new technologies to improving accessibility and inclusion in IT.
She is the author and developer of a number of EU projects, namely TRICTSME, TRIMAR and PRO-ICT (http://www.pro-ict.net/), and her work frequently features in international journals and conferences.
