Resources for Research
Joining the library
If you are a new research postgraduate or member of staff, please look at the information on joining and check the facilities available on the Lampeter and Carmarthen campuses. Don't forget there are ways to access resources at other sites.
Resources for your research
There are a range of resources to find information for your research. You can access and search eresources, such as the full text of journals, newspapers and books as well as indexes to journal articles, and many other electronic resources. You will need your University network username and password to access these resources off campus.
Roderic Bowen Library and Archives - LINC
The Roderic Bowen Library & Archives, RBLA, houses the Special Collections of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, the University's oldest printed books, manuscripts and archives and is one of the principal resources for academic research in Wales.
Acquired over the last 200 years, largely by bequest and donation, the Special Collections include over 35,000 printed works, 8 medieval manuscripts, around 100 post medieval manuscripts, and 69 incunabula.
Interlibrary loans and other libraries
As with any other library user you have access to Interlibrary loans for content not available on campus and you can benefit from our arrangements with other libraries.
Access to IT facilities
Make sure you have your username and password and make use of the on-site facilities and off-site access to resources.
The skills tab in Blackboard has tutorials and helpsheets to help you develop your skills, such as referencing, academic writing and searching skills.

You can search the University of Wales Trinity Saint David library catalogue for specific titles or books on a specific subject.
Catalogues of many libraries are available on the web, including the British Library Integrated Catalogue and COPAC: the national, academic and specialist library catalogue.
