Postgraduate Students

Registration Day

Registration of Postgraduate students will be held on 5th October 2011, between 3.00 and 6.30 p.m., in The Quad meeting rooms, Old College.

Documents Required for Registration

During the Registration process, you will be asked for certain documents as proof of identity and proof of prior qualifications. You will need to show original documents as well as provide photocopies which will be kept confidentially on your file in Registry.

Please refer to Registration Documents Required by Postgraduate Students for a list of all the original and photocopied documents that will be needed.

Postgraduate Matriculation Form

All postgraduate students are required to complete a Postgraduate Matriculation Form. Please complete the form and bring along with you on Registration Day.

Medical Information

As well as providing the necessary personal documentation referred to above, you will need to complete a short Medical Questionnaire that will be kept confidentially on your file in Registry. The questionnaire has already been mailed to you. Please complete and hand in during Registration.

The University recommends that you register with a local GP. If you wish to register with the St Peters Surgery, Carmarthen, please complete the St Peters Surgery New Patient Medical Questionnaire and bring it along with you on Registration Day.

It is important that you read the current information and advice available to students regarding Swine Flu, and also information on Mumps and Meningitis Outbreak and Immunisation.

Survival Guide

The Survival Guide is a document that offers all kinds of information about various aspects of University life. A hard copy will be handed to you on Registration Day.

Student Finance

Student Declarations

The Enrolment Declaration sets out the terms on which the University accepts you onto a programme. During Registration, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and understood the contents of this document and that you agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.

You will also need to confirm that you accept the terms and conditions regarding the Plagiarism Detection Service used by the University.

Please read both documents ahead of Registration.

The Sports and Fitness Centre

All students can become members of the on-campus Sports and Fitness Centre. There is a Fitness and Sports Centre Promotional Offer available to students who join before 31st October.

Information for the Higher Education Statistical Agency (HESA)

The University will be required to send data about you to the Higher Education Statistical Agency which will in turn pass the data to other organisations that need it to carry out their statutory functions connected with the funding of higher education. Learning Welsh

Students with an interest in learning or improving their Welsh are welcome to enrol on one of our Welsh for Adults courses. There's plenty of choice available at all levels and full time students do not have to pay. Details of the courses and how to enrol can be found on the link below.
