The Roderic Bowen Library and Archives

The books of the Roderic Bowen Library and Archives are, like the streets and buildings of Rome, historical artefacts, revealing to the curious layer upon layer of Western European life, from classical antiquity to the dawn of the modern age. This exhibition uses a small selection of these treasures to illustrate the history of five key sites at Rome: the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Trajan's Column, the Circus Maximus and the Pyramid of Cestius.

The exhibition was researched and prepared by David Brown, George Everest-Dine, Jennifer Morris, Gareth Rees, and Michael Watson. (Next)
