The new Faculty of Humanities Research Lecture Series
06.10.2011
Prof. Densil Morgan, Provost of the Lampeter Campus gave his inaugural lecture as a professor at our institution as the opening lecture of the new Faculty of Humanities Research Lecture Series.

Under the title ‘Lampeter, Mirfield and the World: The Life and Work of Bishop Timothy Rees (1874-1939).’ Prof. Morgan provided a fascinating biographical sketch of a man who was rooted locally, travelled globally and exerted major influence in the Church of Wales and beyond. This was a very appropriate start for this lecture series which should become a significant part of the research culture of the Faculty of Humanities in providing a forum for the presentation and discussion of current research in the different disciplines of the faculty, and in the future also through invited high profile guest lectures from the UK and abroad.
