“Figures from beat - the UK’s leading eating disorders charity, suggest that 4 out of 5 people in Wales are unaware that eating disorders are serious mental health conditions” says Jean Harris, Senior Counsellor in Student Services at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
“The fact is that over 50,000 people in Wales are affected and young people are most vulnerable. However, it can affect all ages, and both men and women. We wanted to raise awareness amongst our students and ensure that people with eating disorders receive the support and information they need”.
