The Student Researcher
Introducing ‘The Student Researcher’, Journal of Undergraduate Research
Welcome to the first issue of The Student Researcher. Twelve months ago we decided to create a platform that would showcase the research achievements of undergraduate students at Trinity Saint David; The Student Researcher is the outcome.
The main aim of the journal is as I said to showcase the research achievements of all students across the University, but it also has wider ambitions. Trinity Saint David has a diverse student population who come from all areas of the world and all walks of life to engage in study in a wide range of disciplines, to be inspired, immerse themselves in an area of profound interest; or retrain for a new career. Undertaking research is part of this journey, and we wish the journal to become an aspirational target for new entrants to the University.
All stages of the journal development throughout the year have been student inclusive through membership of the editorial board, from article submission to design; layout proofing and selection of the title it has been interesting for us all.
This is the first ever issue of a student journal produced and published at Trinity Saint David. Therefore, we are keen to receive your feedback, please get in touch if you have any comments or questions; contact details for the Editorial Board are below.
We hope you enjoy reading the journal and find something new and interesting inside.
