The Research and Development Office supports the University’s business engagement activities, and co-ordinates research activities in line with the overall strategic objectives for the University and, more widely, the objectives for the Higher Education sector in Wales.
The Office provides businesses with a first port of call to explore opportunities for collaboration with the University through consultancy, research partnerships, knowledge transfer partnerships or participation in projects.

An exciting development for the University, the Wales Institute of Sustainability established in 2011 will act as a pathfinder for taking a multidisciplinary approach to sustainability in both academic research and business engagement.
