Workshops
Supported by the Global Yangsheng Association for Healthy and Longevity (GYAHL), the Centre offers a series of certificated lectures and workshops for Chinese Yangsheng (a typical Chinese Self Care and Health Maintenance tradition) events for the public and local communities.
Yangsheng has a long history in China. Inherited and well developed by Daoist tradition, yangsheng practices had made a great contribution to Chinese medicine, Chinese diet and wellbeing lifestyle. The core message from Chinese Yangsheng is to prevent illness and maintain health by strengthening one’s physical energy and to promote one’s spiritual vitality through self care and self cultivation of Qi energy. The aim of this series is to raise an awareness of this effective and easy doing DIY health maintenance methodology and culture to Welsh general public and local community.
You will have a general knowledge of Chinese yangsheng (self care and wellbeing) and in the mean time to have training certificates (including Certificate for Medical Yangsheng; Certificate for Qingong Yangsheng, and Certificate for Tai Chi Yangsheng) stamped by both the Global Yangsheng Association for Health and Longevity and Centre for Daoist Studies of the University of Wales Trinity and Saint David.
