About the Course

In the rapidly growing and changing world of visual communication, graphic design can be best described as ‘making an idea visual’. The course gives learners the opportunity to develop problem-solving skills as well as working in 2D, 3D and with the moving image. You will explore the use of words and how they communicate using typography.
The course seeks to equip you to work in this exciting and diverse industry, developing creative attitudes and skills within a variety of media, both traditional and digital.
The course introduces essential graphic languages and processes including digital image manipulation, traditional and digital drawing, typography, branding, advertising, 3D and 2D visualisation, web design, motion graphics, printmaking, advanced desktop publishing, preparation for print and along with new technologies, project management.
Focusing on some of the major areas in contemporary communications, this course helps to promote the creative thinking processes together with introducing the skills required to enter the creative industry. The programme can also offer individuals an opportunity to create work in a bilingual context and environment.
Your practice is supported by an integrated theory programme enabling you to work confidently and professionally.
