Cost of Study
Tuition Fees for 2013/14
Tuition fees for 2013/14 will depend on the programme of study that you are following. Information on the University’s tuition fees is published on the University website.
Continuing students from 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13will continue to pay fees charged on the previous system and will not pay the same fee as a new student.
The fees at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David have been set at £7,500 for our undergraduate courses.
Comprehensive financial support is available including a range of scholarships and means- tested bursaries. These include a residential bursary of up to £1000 towards the cost of University accommodation if you are a full fee-paying student.
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Fee Plan for 2013/14 explains the University's commitment to helping the least well off gain access to higher education and improving the quality of the student experience at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
Funding for Tuition Fees
Students resident in Wales, the EU or outside the UK
The Welsh Government will be awarding all students, that are resident in Wales, the EU or outside the UK, a Tuition Fee Grant. This means that these students will only take out a Tuition Fee Loan of £3,465 for their fees, as the Welsh Government will pay the outstanding balance, which can be up to as much as £9,000 per year.
The Tuition Fee Loan will be repayable when a student starts earning £21,000 or more.
Students from Wales must apply through the Student Finance Wales PN1 form to qualify for the Tuition Fee Loan and Tuition Fee Grant. (Please ensure that you note the full tuition fee of £7,500).
Students resident in England
Students from England will be able to get a Tuition Fee Loan that will cover the tuition fee cost of £7,500. This will be repayable when a student starts earning £21,000 or more.
Students must apply for the tuition fee loan via the Student Finance England PN1 form.

Worried about fees? Don’t worry, help is available
The key fact is that most students pay nothing up front and won’t have to pay it back until they are earning over £21,000 a year as a graduate. If you are eligible for UK student support you will repay a smaller amount per year than in the current system and you will repay the same amount no matter what the tuition fee is.
The payment will automatically come out of your salary if you are working in the UK after you finish your course, just like tax and national insurance.
