St. David's University Chapel

The Chapel is traditionally an Anglican foundation, part of the Church in Wales and therefore uses the rites and ceremonies of the Church in Wales. However, the ministry of the Chapel is open to all of any denomination or none, and everybody is invited and most welcome at any of the Chapel’s services (for full details of all the Chaplaincy’s services see below).

St Davids University Chapel

The regular congregation is composed of current and former students, current and former staff, those who have developed a relationship with the Chapel community through living in the town or local area and their families. If you have children you should feel completely comfortable in bringing them to Chapel services. There is a sung celebration of the Eucharist every Sunday at 11am all the year round, both inside and outside of term time. This is always followed by tea, coffee, squash and biscuits and all are very welcome.

The Chaplain, The Rev’d Matthew Hill, is an Anglican Priest. He is available for people who might wish to see him for spiritual guidance, sacrament of reconciliation, or any other reason and speaks both Welsh and English.

Mid-Week Services

During the week there are a variety of services. Morning and Evening Prayer are said daily at 9am and 5pm with the exception of Wednesday and Friday. On Wednesdays at 5pm there is a Holy Eucharist at which the Ministry of Healing is available to those who might wish it. The Chaplaincy is a Chapter of the Healing Order of St. Luke. The Chaplaincy has a dynamic ecumenical dimension in its worship. Services are regularly attended by students who are Methodist, Roman Catholic, URC and Orthodox as well as Anglican.
