Software Alliance Wales (SAW) supports innovation and growth amongst Welsh businesses and the ICT/Software sector within the Welsh convergence areas in 4 strands:
- CPD Training for ICT Professionals
- ICT Company Certification Scheme
- Student Development Projects
- Business Workshops
What's does SAW offer?
Software Alliance Wales creates a platform for developers across the region to network and share best practice, and promotes Wales as a key driving force in Software Development.
Software Alliance Wales offers two tiers of workshops, which are delivered free of charge, throughout the year: a range of bite-sized workshops, of one hours duration; and development sessions for continuing professional development, with a minimum duration of 2 days.
Who can SAW help?
Welsh small to medium size enterprise businesses (SMEs), business ICT suppliers, the software and technology industry generally, software engineers, IT Professionals, final year undergraduate students and MA/MSc/MEng students. Criteria:
- SME businesses employ between 1 and 250 employees, have a turnover not exceeding 50 million Euros or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding 43 million Euros.
- All companies or ICT practitioners must live or work in the convergence area of Wales.
- Students must be in their final year of undergraduate study or be MA/MSc/MEng students
The team at TSD supports businesses and individuals in the counties of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.
Project Partners
SAW is funded by the EU's Convergence European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.
The project is led by Swansea University in partnership with the Universities of Bangor, Glamorgan, Aberystwyth, and University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
At University of Wales Trinity Saint David, SAW is run by the School of Business.
