Creative Industries Support Network

CISNET supports and enhances the business activities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the creative and cultural industries in Wales and the European Atlantic Area. Partners from Wales, Ireland, France, Portugal and Spain work together to bring networking and innovation to businesses, organisations and individuals in these industries. CISNET’s European creative and cultural network promotes trans national business, cooperation and knowledge transfer. 

The project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Atlantic Area IVB Programme.  

What does CISNET offer?

  • Match-making – partnering of firms with other firms, technology providers and research centres to facilitate collaborative development of new ideas, products and services.
  • Online marketing – access to CISNET’s European online marketing platform, ‘Creative City’.
  • Business development – sourcing of management support and skills training to address identified gaps and weaknesses.
  • Sponsorship – small grants for enterprises wanting to attend trade fairs or exhibitions.
  • Access to finance – identification of public and private sources of finance, including R&D funding.
  • Technology watch – helping firms to connect with new technologies.

Who can benefit from CISNET?

SMEs in the creative industries sector, defined as: advertising, architecture & interior design, books & press, TV & radio, crafts & antiques, design & fashion, film & video, cultural management, music, performing arts, software & video games, visual arts.
Support is offered to small or medium enterprises in these industries based in West Wales or The Valleys.
