Quality Assurance Procedures
Quality is at the heart of all the provision linked to the Associate Faculty. The University is well aware of the high standards expected by schools and will endeavour at all times to provide high quality education for its Associate Students. All University tutors working within the Associate Faculty will have undertaken an enhanced CRB check.
The scheme is led and managed by the Director of the Associate Faculty and administered by a team of dedicated staff based on the Carmarthen campus. The Director is responsible to a member of the University’s Senior Management Team.
The provision closely follows the quality assurance procedures incorporated in the University’s Academic Quality Handbook. As part of the quality assurance processes, an Annual Review of the provision is held and there is an opportunity for teacher and pupil representatives from the schools to attend the meeting to air their views. The Faculty has a Management Board whose members represent the Faculty’s partners. There is also an opportunity for pupils to express their opinion in questionnaires distributed at the end of every taught module. The University has appointed an External Examiner for the scheme who reports throughout the year to the examination boards on the quality and standards of the provision as well as student attainment.
