Going for Gold

Students The Curriculum

The University has validated a range of accredited modules that could be provided in partnership with secondary schools. It wishes to continue to tailor the provision in order to meet the needs of individual secondary schools.

The menu of modules includes generic modules that concentrate on developing the students’ key skills as they prepare themselves for higher education. These should provide the students with an insight to the types of learning experiences that they could expect within an university context as well as reinforce and strengthen their transferable skills. It also includes more specialist modules that enable the students to further strengthen their understanding of specific aspects of a particular curriculum subject that they are currently studying in school.

Noted below is an exemplar menu of modules the University could offer during 2011/12. Additional modules may be added to the list in accordance with the needs of individual schools or indeed, clusters of schools.
